How to find us

     

Near Sawrey is situated on the west side of Lake Windermere a mile from the ferry.

 

From the south leave the M6 Motorway at Junction 36 and follow the A591 towards Windermere. At the roundabout just north of Kendal turn left and follow the ferry signs up the B5284 Crook Road (shown yellow on the above map).  The Crook Road leads to the southern end of Bowness on Windermere and the ferry crossing is signposted.  Near Sawrey is a mile from the ferry and Buckle Yeat is a few yards from the village inn.

     

     

From the north as you approach Windermere follow the signs to Bowness.  Travel through Bowness and follow the signs for the ferry.  Near Sawrey is a mile from the ferry and Buckle Yeat is a few yards from the village inn.

5 miles from Ambleside

2 miles from Windermere (when using ferry)
