This 17th Century traditional Lakeland cottage has been fully refurbished and tastefully decorated and furnished for your comfort.

A warm and friendly welcome awaits those wishing a relaxing holiday in our family run Guest House, which is open throughout the year.

All our light, airy bedrooms, are non-smoking and individually decorated. They are all en-suite and have the additional comforts of tea and coffee making facilities, televisions and hairdryers.

The oak beamed lounge with flagged floor, warming open log fire, antique furniture and ample cosy armchairs is the perfect place to plan your day or relax after a long day's walking.

Breakfast is served in the large spacious dining room, which during the daytime doubles as a tea-room serving traditional cream teas and home-made cakes. A perfect place to start the day.

Sample our excellent selection of fresh baked bread rolls, cereals, fresh fruits, yoghurts, oatmeal porridge, followed by a full English breakfast, hot toast, tea or coffee.

All diets catered for.

'Buckle Yeat' is famous for its connections with Beatrix Potter, the cottage being illustrated in the 'Tale of Tom Kitten' and 'The Pie and the Patty Pan'
