One of the few places I have stayed at that really is as good as it sounds. Only a two day break but we thouroughly enjoyed our stay. Many thanks.

Buckle Yeat is a special place to stay. We enjoyed the wonderful hospitality from the owners, and charming accommodations. Staying at the guesthouse (which is in a prime location), walking and seeing all the lovely views in the Lake District, and soaking up local charm all made our trip so memorable. Thank you, Robert and Helen, for a fun time at Buckle Yeat. Bonnie and Bob Helget

WHOT! Nothing in this guest book since 2008 - shameful! This is the best 5 days we have spent anywhere, as I wrote in the actual Guest book. 'Clue 1' Find a 7 letter word to describe Buckle Yeats' Hospitality, accomodation, breakfasts, humour & Setting. Answer = SUBLIME. Thank you both Helen & Robert,(and Mum & Dad in the background), for such a lovely break, Any fancy words of mine would not do the experience justice - 'SUBLIME' covers it. Go well, Robbie.

For us Scots, Robert and Helen's idyllic cottage is the epitome of everything 'Lake District'. It's the ultimate rural retreat, but still within reach of Windermere and Ambleside (should you want to venture there!) Like many, we come back time and again. It's one of Cumbria's best kept sectrets!

We have visited this superb Bed & Breakfast accommodation several times. The breakfast is wonderful(best bacon ever tasted)just right to set you up for a days walking on the fells. Ideally situated for visits to Windermere, Ambleside Hawkshead & Hill Top. We will be back

I found Buckle Yeat via web searching three years ago. I booked us there and was worried that I might have made a mistake. We were wonderfully treated and the bar was set. I still write to a friend I met there and display pictures of Buckle Yeat and Near Sawery in my classroom.

We spent a very pleasant and memorable few days at Buckle Yeat last year. Helen and Robert made us feel so much at home in their delightful Bed and Breakfast. We particularly enjoyed Robert's porridge. He will remember me for this!!
