Comments: We visited the treasure of a B&B by chance in Aug 2011, we were given a warm welcome by Robert (and the log fire also helped). Our room # 6 was very comfortable, clean and quiet with a great spacious and modern bathroom. We loved the breakfast and decided we would have to come back -we did at the end of the week! Robert & Helen offer true hospitality in this charming village and provide lots of assistance with anything you may need. THANK YOU FOR YOUR VERY WARM WELCOME.

Comments: Just stayed for the second time, for 2 nights and had a wonderfully relaxing time. Robert and Helen (& Mr McGregor) made us feel at home and it made a perfect base to explore Hawkshead and Grizedale Forest. The Buckle Yeat breakfast set us up for the day and evening meals were enjoyed at the Tower Bank Arms (next door) and at the Queens Head Hotel in Hawkshead.
